Ecology of a Dream

It all started when…

This was a commissioned project for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital’s Winslow location. Kolar Design identifies local Cincinnati artists to create original works of art for the various Cincinnati Children’s Hospital locations. Under the theme of “Woodland Creatures” I created the five works below(from March 2023-January 2024.)

During this 11 month process I worked to create pieces that convey a sense of wonder and peace. There was an evening where I was able to meet with some patients and their families. They added their unique touches to these pieces as well and it was an honor to create with them.

Ecology of a Dream Statement:

As we navigate our constantly shifting world, we may take solace in the purity of nature; a place of chaos and beauty. Just as in nature collage reminds us that each piece plays a role, connecting and growing to form something greater. Ecology of a Dream encourages viewers to indulge in the whimsical quality of dreams while embracing the intricacies of the natural world.
