Piece by piece:Native Ohio Flora &Fauna
Inspired by Winold Reiss’s mosaic in the Rotunda, visitors collaged colorful paper onto these large scale designs of Ohio flora and faun. This project is part of the Aspiring Artists series through the Cincinnati Museum Center(CMC). This specific workshop took place in the KidSPACE inside CMC’s on their annual 1940’s Day. There were 3200+ visitors of all ages who came to The Children’s Museum that day. Visitors added their touch to these pieces. These works will be in the KidSPACE for future visitors to work on. I met this sweet family! Their daughter loves art and wants to be an artist when she grows up. They hung out for hours and help to layer this piece and created individual artwork as well!
